The Gravesend Series is back! Nice Work is pleased to announce the return to Gravesend Cyclopark in 2020/2021 with our series. The series is a unique opportunity to sharpen up your speed work on those dark winter nights. This tarmac course is floodlit and its undulating nature will offer just enough of a challenge whilst still allowing for some fast times. Cyclopark is totally self-contained and provides the ideal venue for a Covid-safe event. We have successfully developed a number of new procedures which are designed to ensure our races will be Covid-secure and ensure the safety of our runners, staff and the general public. The first change you will notice is the start time. Rather than a single start time for all runners, we are operating a pre-booking system with start times available in 5-minute slots, beginning at 5.30pm through to 7.30pm. A maximum of twelve people will be able to begin the race in each slot – and each of those people will be allocated a place on the start line according to their anticipated finish time, with the fastest runner lining up on the front of the start line. The race will also have a restricted entry limit. The race is suitable for both experienced and first-time runners. It’s great training for Spring marathon speedwork, as part of a schedule to complete your first 5K and/or 10K – or for those just looking for a timed and measured run on a weekday winter’s night. • UK Athletics licenced event • Plenty of onsite parking • Accurately measured course with a certificate of course accuracy • Chip timing including lap times for both distances • Book a single race, in blocks of three or buy a season ticket for all six races • There will be a souvenir technical t-shirt for sale Prizes • Prizes for leading runners and age category winners in the 10k • Prizes for first 3 male and female in 5k • Overall series prize for leading 3 male and female in both races with best 5 races to count. • Monthly leader board by age category for both races• Races in the series include: Race One – 29th October 2020 Race Two - 26th November 2020 Race Three - 17th December 2020 Race Four - 28th January 2021 Race Five - 25th February 2021 Race Six - 25th March 2021
