Event Details

The Rathfinny Run is a new running event focused on the environmental impact and reducing the carbon footprint of runners. This run will be for those runners that want to make a difference to the environment and their place in it. We will not be offering T-shirts and our medals will made by Zero Waste Medals. This event will be single use plastic free so there will be no cups at the two aid stations on the course. Please bring your own foldable cup. We will also be offering an exciting opportunity for you to plant a tree on Rathfinny Estate. As travel is a big part of a runners carbon footprint, we will be charging for car parking. However, if there is a minimum of three runners per car, then carparking will be free. We will open up a facebook group to arrange car share options and will also arrange a shuttle bus from both Seaford and Berwick Train Stations to help reduce the number of individual cars travelling to the event. Please note, the availability of Shuttle buses will dependant on Covid restrictions in place at the time of the race. There will be trophies and a bottle of sparkling wine for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each race. The Rathfinny Run is excited to be supporting with local charity Wolo Foundation. Wolo helps to improve the quality of life of families living in Sussex affected by cancer. WOLO will be offering free spaces to any runner that would like to raise funds (£300 minimum) for this great Sussex based cancer charity.
